Google

Web www.nutricoach.net
The web site is just the starting point but a very important and integral part of the overall plan.

These are all the things that need to be done to reach the over all goal.

1. 1.Build web site:
Construction of this web site began April 7, 2005. It will continue on a daily basis until it is up and functional. When it is up and functional there will be continual need for updating and improving. Toma Grubb is doing primary site design and implementation at present. As the site unfolds administrators, editors, contributors and other tech support will be needed to keep it running smoothly. This is too much for one person and even for a small group of people. Additional volunteer staff is needed at present and eventually as funds permit, paid staff should be added.

a. Find best wysiwyg editor to combine all elements of web design
Front page is being considered as the primary site design tool but it presents problems with extension degradation and I am not sure how well it will work with drupal, phpmychat, phpcalendar, the bulletin board software and other features being included in this site.

b. Learn all elements of the programs that the NutriCoach site will be using.
This is a major task at present. The best approach is probably find volunteers for the different areas and delegate the responsibility of learning and implementing those areas of responsibility.

Find and recruit admins for the chat utility, calendar utility, Blog utility and other areas of specialized expertise.

Chat utility assigned to Laurie Grubb 4/10/05

Spoke with Sylvia about blog admin position 4/10/05
Spoke with dennice about editing Blog and reading room.

Arranged for consulting attorney 4/ 9/05. Arranged to receive consulting service pro bono.

D. Do actual design and content for the site.
This has obviously been started and will continue till there is a complete site.

e. Do search engine registration.
Search engine registration will be done when the site is complete.

F. SITE PROMOTION
There are several options for promoting the site.

Talk radio
Promote The site by calling as many talk radio shows as will talk with us, tell them about NutriCoach and ask listeners to view the web site.

Tom Martino, "the Troubleshooter" asked on his show for listeners to call in if they have a unique and valuable service. I spoke briefly with him and he was positive and upbeat about what I want to do NutriCoach did not have a name at that time. He asked me to call back as it is developed and keep him and his listeners posted about our progress. This is in contrast to the trash talk he does to many of his callers.

PSAs
Most radio and television stations have a service that is free to their listening public. That service is Public Service Announcements. Write good PSA's and send them to all radio stations. With all the radio and television stations across the US and Canada this is a formidable task. ANY VOLUNTEERS?

NEWSPAPERS
We neeed to do news releases to all newspapers. A google search will produce a list of all newspapers. Someone to make the list and do the work of sending each newspaper news announcements about NutriCoach is needed. In other words NutriCoach needs a press agent with the knowledge to be able to write good press releases and send them to all the newspapers.

Blogs
Blogs are the news service of the information age. There are two areas of need here. One is people willing to go and post to other blogs and the other is someone knowledge able to run and edit our blog.

G. ADDITIONAL FEATURES TO ADD
There are several additional features to add to the web site. Recipes, Test Kitchen, library, slide shows, Polls, Calendar, and any other good ideas that are submitted

The software
The software for full implementation of the NutriCoach system has been negotiated. Getting the NutriCoach software has been negotiated and will be available when funds are available for the desired changes to be engineered and added. In the mean time, the best software currently available has been negotiated for and will be available on this site with in days of this update. 5/27/05

The PDAs
Full implementation of the NutriCoach approach to nutritional control involves use of a handheld devise to track all intake and be able to share that info with a base computer. The best source for the PDS has been selected and negotiated. This purchase link will be available soon. 5/28/2005

Once phase 1 of the entire plan is in place, there will be seminars to teach the implementation of the NutriCoach approach to total nutritional control. These seminars will be in major population centers across the US. If you would like to see a seminar in your area soon, you can speed up that process by doing the local front work of finding a venue, checking out the cost, doing the local organization, and acting as a local advance person to arrange the details of putting on such an event. We will be seeking minimum audiences of 250 and optimum is 500-1000.Also, when in a town for a seminar we will want to do local radio interviews and arrange to speak with the local medical practitioners. If interested in bringing a seminar to your area in the near future contact me at toma@nutricoach.net

The NutriCoach Retreat
This is a bit down the road, but once everything else is going well I envision a retreat at a resort where there can be total immersion in the NutriCoach system. The week would include: nutrition training by the NutriCoach staff and constant access to a licensed nutritionist to assist and answer questions, training in use of the software and PDA, training in meal preparation, and fun activities for recreation. You might call it a nutrition boot camp. If you are an owner, manager, or sales representative of a resort that you think would be a good location for this contact us. The requirements would be: minimum guest occupancy of 100, a kitchen large enough to be used by the participants for cooking classes, willingness to turn the kitchen over to the NutriCoach participants portions of the event, sufficient power and outlets for computers to be used by the participants, close enough to a major metro area for field trips to grocery stores and somewhere to rent computers for the event.

Volunteers needed
As you can tell this is far to much for one individual to do and do well, I wish I could offer paid positions for all that is needed, but that is not in the immediate future. If you want to be part of the NutriCoach team and help make this dream reality, you will be most welcome. Everyone willing to help should e-mail our volunteers coordinator laurie@nutricoach.net or contact us through the contact us link.
