The name we had chosen in our original show proposal "Just For The health Of It' is already the name a show hosted by Janet on CHML in Hamilton, Ontario that has been on the air for 10 years. Congratulations Janet on having one of the top rated shows in Hamilton. learn about her show at http://www.goodnessme.ca/janetstart.php

So we changed the name of our show to

Living For The Health Of It

Living For The Health Of It will cover a wide variety of subjects about health, nutrition and self management of chronic diseases. We hope we will have the same success as Janet with her show. The topics are timely, in the news and affect our everyday lives.

You may find Toma a bit irreverent and a bit of a rebel. He is very opinionated and is willing to tackle any subject with an approach that often challenges the "established authorities."

Pam is just as willing to look outside the box for answers to health issues but Pam is more diplomatic than Toma and will try to keep him in check.

Both have had to face personal health issues that were not being properly dealt with by conventional methods. They both strongly advocate personal responsibility not only in matters of health but in daily life issues. They both bring fresh, unique  insights to the health issues of today.

There are guiding principles for this show that both will strive to adhere to.

  • Do No Harm.

The Hippocratic oath that doctors are supposed to adhere to states the first responsibility of a healer  is to "Do No Harm"  there are example after example where this is being violated for profit motives. We will not.
  •  Pay it Forward.

There are others who have helped us. Now it is time for us to "Pay it Forward" by sharing what we have learned in hope of helping others. If we help you in some way we do not ask you to pay us back but to "Pay it Forward" by helping someone else.
  • The Power of One.

There are many examples of the "Power of One" throughout history. We believe one motivated person can be a force for change. We strive to be "Powers of One" in our personal lives. There is a synergistic effect when there are more "Powers of One" working in unison. Pam and Toma become two "powers of One" raised to the power of two. We ask our listeners to join us  and exponentially raise it to "Power of one to the X Power".
  • People above Money.

Far too often in modern society profit motives override  personal  concerns. We do not believe people are expendable and there is such a thing as acceptable losses when it comes to health issues. In our opinion there is not a justification in Drug companies pushing dangerous drugs like Avandia and Vioxx when there are known risks of doing harm. The people negatively affected by these drugs are not "acceptable loss risks"
